ALAN of NASDAQ Trend Analysis
LONG TERM: (See the attached 3-year weekly logarithmic chart)
ALAN fell down in a long-term downtrend (orange) in two years from 1.73
(purple) to the 0.23-bottom support (gray). Total loss in stock price was
86.71%. There were important supports at 0.70 (green) and 0.50 (blue), but
they were both broken down and turned into resistance. However, below 0.50,
ALAN formed a nice double bottom (blue) and broke up the long-term downtrend
(orange). Since then ALAN has been rising in a long-term up-trend channel
(pink) and we can easily say that the bottoming process is completed and
confirmed. However in one year ALAN rose from the 0.23-bottom to 2.34 (+9
times the bottom price). Obviously, ALAN is overbought and it is having
difficulties to break up the 1.73-resistance (purple). During the triangular
consolidation (red) the 0.70-support was successfully tested and the upside
breakout was supported with a big jump in volume. The long-term outlook is
still bullish.
SHORT TERM: (See the attached 6-month daily logarithmic chart)
On the daily chart we can see the triangular consolidation (red) more
clearly. The pattern may be interpreted as a meaningful double bottom
(brown). Around the 1.73-resistance (purple) another consolidation is taking
place but it is not completed yet. As the triangle (orange) closes ALAN will
accumulate the strength to break up the 1.73 resistance, but for the mean
time the short-term outlook is sideways.
Americanbulls.com posted a fresh SELL signal. If you are holding this stock
we advise you to sell it. If you do not have this stock and are interested
in it, you must wait for the breaking up of the triangle (orange). ALAN is
technically overbought but it still has a bullish outlook for the long term.

Alanco Awarded TSI PRISM Expansion Contract at Illinois' Logan Prison

(NASDAQ:ALAN - News) announced today that it was awarded a contract by the Illinois Department of Corrections to expand the present coverage area of the TSI PRISM RFID inmate tracking system at the Logan Correctional Facility in Lincoln, Ill. The original installation was completed and operational in early 2004. The new contract expands the facility RFID coverage to include a newly constructed commissary/medical complex. The expansion project is expected to be completed within the next 60 days.
According to Larry Sims, warden of the 50-acre Logan facility, "The TSI PRISM system has been smoothly incorporated into our operations and is already proving its value as a uniquely effective tool for investigating inmate incidents. The fact that we now have the capability to know exactly who was present and when, at any event anywhere in our facility, is beginning to make a serious impression on our inmate population."
