كثير من شركات قطاع تجارة التجزئة تشهد سوقا رائجة في شهر ديسمبر وتحقق أرباحا جيدة وبالتالي ارتفع سعرها والسؤال هنا هل ستستمر المسألة أم أن شهر ديسمبر وأعياده (الكريسمس والنيويير الخ) كانت السبب وسيخبو البريق ولو قليلا لاحقا؟؟ وهذا اليوم ارتفعت أسعار الشركات التالية في هذا القطاع

The retail sector is moving higher following a deluge of December sales reports. The Merrill Lynch Retail Holdrs (RTH) is edging up 37 cents, or 0.4 percent, to $96.22, with 16 of its 20 components seeing gains. Wal-Mart (WMT) , the sector tracking stock's most-heavily weighted member, is tacking on 50 cents to $56.90 after reporting December sales of $28.8 billion, up 16 percent over last year (see 7:47 item). The group's biggest gainer is Gap (GPS) , up $2.18, or 15 percent, at $16.70, after the company narrowed loss expectations for its fourth quarter, and a subsequent midday upgrade by Morgan Stanley to "outperform" from "neutral." Walgreen (WAG) , the RTH's biggest loser, is slippig 66 cents, or 1.9 percent, to $34.49, weighed by the disappointing fiscal third-quarter report and subsequent share-price tumble by Rite-Aid (RAD) . Among other more-active components, Amazon (AMZN) is down 36 cents at $11.17, Home Depot (HD) is adding 38 cents to $50.64 and Target (TGT) is gaining 65 cents to $41.03 (see 8:52 item).
