Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) said it expects second quarter earnings of $0.47 to $0.49 per share on revenue of $22.4 billion to $22.6 billion. The current consensus earnings estimate is $0.45 per share on revenue of $22.6 billion for the quarter ending April 30, 2006. The company said it now expects 2006 earnings of $1.90 to $1.95 per share, including stock-option expense of $0.13 per share, on revenue of $90.0 billion to $91.0 billion. The company's previous guidance was earnings of $1.88 to $1.95 per share on revenue of $89.5 billion to $91.0 billion and the current consensus earnings estimate is $1.83 per share on revenue of $90.9 billion for the year ending October 31, 2006.
