Martek Biosci upgraded to Buy from Neutral at First Albany- on Solid Quarter and Guidance (MATK) 30.53

Martek Biosci tgt raised to $44 at Needham following results and strong margins (MATK) 30.53 : Needham raises their tgt on MATK to $44 from $40 following Q1 results. Firm said the co had already told them that rev would be strong in the qtr, but margins significantly exceeded their expectations. Firm thinks that these quarterly results and guidance for Q2 support their thesis that the co's troubles of 2005 are now behind it, and it is poised for strong growth and steady execution in 2006. Firm also thinks it is now clear that 2006 ests have been too conservative, and they expect to see numbers going up. Reits Buy.
