Stream Media Mobile Applications: China Datacom Corporation Announces Product Strategy

NEVADA, Aug. 18 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- China Datacom Corporation (Pink Sheets: CDPN - News) today disclosed its product strategy: to focus on stream media programs, particularly mobile TV programs applicable to mobile phone users, and become a leading stream media content provider in China.

CDPN will carry out the strategy through its operating entity in China, Guangzhou Zheng Tuo Information and Technology Limited ("Zheng Tuo"). Located in Guangzhou, China, Zheng Tuo is a licensed content provider that is allowed to conduct mobile communication and internet value added services throughout the nation under the current Chinese laws.
Up to now, Zheng Tuo has developed a series of mobile TV products such as ''Movie and TV programs,'' ''Funny Screens,'' and ''Fashion & Beauty'' etc., mainly emphasizing the entertainment needs of mobile users. These programs are delivered in various forms like movie trailers, TV show clips and animations. Although the application of mobile TV is still limited due to the speed and band width constraints under the 2G and 2.5G platforms, and the limited number of mobile TV enabled cell phones, CDPN foresees the market will rapidly warm up after the official launching of 3G operations and boom in 2008 during the Beijing Olympic Games.
Apart from mobile TV programs, at present, Zheng Tuo also develops and delivers short messages (SMS), multimedia messages (MMS) and WAP products, and provides technical support to other content providers that are currently the main income source of Zheng Tuo. According to the company strategy, the current product mix will gradually shift and mobile TV programs will become the most important revenue generator in the near future.

Zheng Tuo was incorporated in May 2004 in Guangzhou, P.R. China. Zheng Tuo acquired the value-added telecommunication services license ("VAS License") from the Ministry of Information Industry of China such that Zheng Tuo is permitted to provide Internet and wireless content services within the P.R. China.
