CLEVELAND, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cleveland-Cliffs Inc (NYSE: CLF - News) today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a scheduled dividend payment on the Company's 3.25% Redeemable Cumulative Convertible Perpetual Preferred Stock. A cash payment of $8.125 per share will be payable on October 16, 2006, to Preferred Stock shareholders of record on October 1, 2006.

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, is the largest producer of iron ore pellets in North America and sells the majority of its pellets to integrated steel companies in the United States and Canada. Cleveland-Cliffs Inc operates a total of six iron ore mines located in Michigan, Minnesota and Eastern Canada. The Company is majority owner of Portman Limited, the third-largest iron ore mining company in Australia, serving the Asian iron ore markets with direct-shipping fines and lump ore.

BN Banta Corp. announces strategic initiatives, special $16.00 cash dividend and raises 2006 guidance (47.22 )

Co announced strategic initiatives to strengthen its business, position the co for future growth, and return additional value to shareholders. The steps announced are expected to generate annualized cost savings of $35 mln when fully implemented, position Banta for global expansion in both its print and supply-chain management businesses, and deliver cash to shareholders through a special dividend. Banta also announced that it has executed a letter of intent with its largest customer, HPQ, for a new five-year relationship. This is subject to the parties entering into a definitive agreement, which is expected to occur prior to the end of this year. The co also announced today that its Board of Directors has approved payment of a special cash dividend of $16.00 per share. The dividend is payable November 21, 2006, to shareholders of record on November 10, 2006. Co raises FY06 guidance to $2.80-2.90 from $2.75-2.85 (consensus $2.75). Co sees 2007 revs of $1.50-1.55 bln ($1.59 bln consensus), sees non-GAAP EPS of $3.23-3.48 (consensus $2.98).
