    1. MORNING OUTLOOK

Pre-market futures are lower and suggesting that markets may open
flat to lower. Tokyo stocks rallied Thursday after Wall Street snapped
a four-session slide and the yen came off a fresh three-year high against
the dollar. European markets reversed Thursday after several explosions
    rocked Istanbul, Turkey's capital.

U.S. stocks reversed a four-day losing streak Wednesday as investors
ignored the latest financial services scandal and instead found
buying opportunities in the wake of recent losses. The Dow Jones
Industrial Average climbed 66.3 points, or 0.69 percent, to
9,690.46. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 17.9 points, or 0.95
percent, to 1,899.65 while the Nasdaq 100 Index climbed 14.20
    points, or 1.04 percent, to 1378.90. The Standard & Poor's 500
Index climbed 0.80 percent while the Russell 2000 Index of
small-capitalization stocks climbed 0.76 percent. Volume amounted
to 1.31 billion on the NYSE and 1.81 billion on the Nasdaq Stock
Market. Market breadth was positive, with Advancers were leading
Decliners by 1933 to 1298 on the NYSE. Nasdaq's Advancers were
leading Decliners by 1869 to 1312.

Dow gained 66 points to close at 9690. Dow bounced off its key
support level 9600 and trading above 50 and 200-Day MA. Dow needs
to regain 9750 level for positive momentum. Dow could pause and
trade side-ways before deciding a direction in the next few
sessions. Watch 9650 level for potential weakness while 9750 for
    breakout level. OW's resistance levels are: 9811, 9937, 10092.
    DOW's support levels are: 9568, 9447, 9340. Nasdaq gained 17.9
points to close at 1899. Nasdaq is trading with negative momentum
below 50 and above 200-Day MA. Nasdaq also could see similar
action as Dow and could trade side-ways to slight positive bias
trading in the next few sessions. NASDAQ's resistance levels are:
    1911, 1929, 1943. NASDAQ's support levels are: 1877, 1846, 1831.
Thursday's trading could be cautious and choppy.
