Nexia's Flagship Salon Reports Record Revenues for July 2009
Nexia's Flagship Salon Reports Record Revenues for July 2009
Sales for Landis Lifestyle Salon Are Trending Up
SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- (Marketwire) -- 08/17/09 -- Nexia Holdings, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NXHD), a diversified holding company, announced that its flagship salon recorded record revenues for the month of July 2009. CEO Richard Surber stated his belief that "the increase in revenues for the month of July at our flagship location appears to confirm my belief that sales are trending up for our Landis Lifestyle Salon."

Nexia's flagship location at 1298 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, Utah reported revenues of $155,588 for the month of July 2009 compared to $143,913 and $151,906 for the comparable periods in 2008 and 2007, respectively. Our revenues showed an increase of 8% in 2009 over 2008. Mr. Surber noted that, "So far our gross revenues for our flagship location in August of this year are showing double digit gains over August 2008."

Our Bountiful location is lagging behind as a result of being under staffed. Our regional manager is in the process of hiring additional staff at our Landis Concept Salon. The Landis Concept Salon has 12 chairs compared to 20 chairs in our Landis Lifestyle Salon.

Richard Surber, CEO of Nexia, stated that, "I am confident we can get this location to perform by year end provided we are able to properly staff the location. I am offering a $500 referral fee to our employees for each stylist we retain as a result of the referral. When it comes to Landis' staff, our training is vigorous and our standards are unyielding. The bar has been set quite high. I believe our standards will result in long-term lasting success for our salons and its staff. One drawback to our high standards in a booth rental market is that it takes longer to staff our newer locations in the initial stages. However, the end result is that our stylists make more and our salons provide better service to our clients then our competitors."

Our staffs commitment to excellent customer service and the Aveda 12 points of difference discussed in this short video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joEeffVk13w&feature=related are key to future growth prospects.
