BSI2000, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BSIO), a leading developer of integrated optical card- based systems and technology, today released a statement by the company president and CEO Jack Harper regarding an important new border-security measure, the Real ID Act of 2005.
Harper said, "The Real ID Act, just approved by a 261-to-161 vote in Congress, includes a number of anti-terrorism provisions. Among those is a requirement that all states verify that drivers license applicants are U.S. citizens or legal immigrants. Our new VERUS2000(TM) Green Card authentication product has been specifically designed to address this issue."
BSI2000 developed the VERUS2000 system to inexpensively and reliably address the problem of fake and counterfeit Green Cards used as primary identification in obtaining valid drivers licenses. Security sources indicate that fraudulent Green Cards are in use across the nation and represent a significant homeland security issue.
VERUS2000 has been in field trials since the summer at a major U.S. international airport, a major European international airport and a state drivers' license bureau. The purpose of the field trials has been to identify problems and to resolve any operational issues. To date, all indications are that the system works very well with no significant reported problems.

We have a number of patents filed that should protect VERUS2000.
