Vitasti to Launch First of Its Kind Acai Berry Nutritional Bars

NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2005, Sep 27, 2005 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) --Vitasti, Inc. (OTCBB:VITS) (the "company") is pleased to announce that is has formulated a line of nutrition bars containing the Brazilian acai berry, which has been heralded as "nature's perfect food" and has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, the Today Show, and CBS News Radio. Two flavors have been formulated, containing Vitasti's Amazon Acai Granola.
Sports nutrition and weight loss product (SNWL) sales grew in the U.S. by 14 percent in 2004 to reach $15.6 billion, according to a report released by Nutrition Business Journal (NBJ). NBJ's Sports Nutrition & Weight Loss Report 2005 forecasts that U.S. consumer sales of all SNWL products will sustain compound annual growth rates of 5-7 percent over the next eight years, reaching sales of $22.8 billion in 2013. Incremental new sales of $700 million to $900 million will be added to the market each year between 2006 and 2013, representing significant opportunities for new products and substantial growth potential for existing products or brand extensions.
