Coalition for Luggage Security Co-Hosts Chamber of Commerce's Aviation Summit
The Coalition for Luggage Security today announced that The Coalition along with Universal Express and CIT finance will co-host the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's "Aviation 2007: Ready for Takeoff" summit to be held on April 4, 2007 at the Chamber of Commerce's headquarters in Washington, D.C. Richard A. Altomare, Founder and Chairman of The Coalition for Luggage Security and CEO of Universal Express Inc. (OTCBB: USXP), will serve as moderator for the summit's kick-off session "Strengthening America's Security and Economy." Mr. Altomare, a veteran logistics and air courier business leader, founded The Coalition for Luggage Security in 2005 as an outgrowth of his fundamental belief that suitcases are cargo and should be shipped separately from passengers for security reasons.
The summit's theme this year - the aviation industry is ready for takeoff after a turbulent few years - will feature speakers Marion Blakey, Administrator, Federal Aviation Administration, executives from Lockheed Martin Corporation and The Boeing Company, an airline CEO, and a member of Congress for discussions about a wide range of key topics such as the congestion crisis, aviation advancements, strategic alliances, and legislative updates.
"I'm honored to be participating in the Chamber of Commerce's annual aviation summit where industry and government leaders gather to discuss important issues and exchange the latest information and ideas for reforms," said Mr. Altomare. "In the realm of luggage and cargo security within our nation's system of airlines, it's a time bomb that's just waiting to go off. There are a number of private sector solutions to luggage and cargo-related security challenges."
Mr. Altomare explained that despite what some people may think, separating luggage from passengers is not a logistical nightmare. "The core of the solution is utilizing the private sector and requiring the separation of baggage from travelers so they ship their bags prior to the departure date. It's a matter of changing the way luggage is handled," he said. Instead of travelers taking their baggage through airport check-in points they would use a new procedure for shipping their luggage in advance to reach their destination in time for their arrival. This would allow the U.S. Postal Service along with 4,000 parcel carriers to handle baggage that is currently carried by the airline industry. The procedure would be directed by a designated leader of the luggage movement industry.

الله يعوض على الجميع ان شاء الله والسوق فيه فرص كثيره او بالنسبه للسهم كان متوقع هل شي من زمان لأنه أسهم الشركة كثيره ولن يتحرك السهم بسهوله
والسيناريو القادم هو نزول السهم لغاية ال0001. بشكل بطيئ لكي يتم تصريف أكبر كمية قبل التقسيم ومن ثم عمل تقسيم عكسي والله أعلم موفقين خير ان شاء الله أدري هل كلام ماراح يعجب ملاك السهم بس هذا الواقع الله يفرج عليكم ان شاء الله

According to the article, airlines have gained a reputation, fairly or not, for being largely incompetent when it comes to handling baggage, with lost luggage serving as standard fodder for many comedians' joke repertories.
SITA, the IT provider that specializes in tracking airline baggage, estimates that carriers mishandle 30 million bags globally every year, leading to $2.5 billion in added costs. And those are just the direct costs of locating the lost bag in the system and returning it to the passenger; IATA estimates that each mishandled bag costs an airline $128.
"Most consumers don't realize that luggage is not the airlines' business, but they have left it for so long as a free service that we all start to think it's part of the package. The reality is airlines are seeing an ever growing problem with lost and misplaced luggage and more and more of them are beginning to charge for taking your luggage along. This charging policy has always been an option of the airlines, but they've never fully taken advantage of those charges," said Richard A. Altomare, Chairman and CEO of Universal Express, parent company of its luggage delivery division, Luggage Express.
