1. MORNING OUTLOOK

Pre-market futures are higher and suggesting that markets may open
flat to higher. After a brief headfake upwards, European markets
resumed their decline on Tuesday, as the dollar weakened even more.
The South Korean stock market rebounded by Tuesday afternoon, but key
exporters such as LG Electronics fell for a second day on fears that the
stronger won could hurt their businesses. Other Asian markets were mixed
as Japan's financial markets shut for holiday.



U.S. stocks posted big losses Monday in a widespread move to the
downside as the dollar plummeted and Treasury bonds sold off
significantly. The dollar's tumble followed a statement after a
weekend meeting of finance ministers of the world's top industrial
nations, which endorsed flexibility in exchange rates. The
greenback plunged to its lowest levels against the Japanese
currency since January 2000. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost
109.41 points, or 1.13 percent, to 9,535.41. The Nasdaq Composite
lost 31.08 points, or 1.63 percent, to 1,874.62 while the Nasdaq
100 Index lost 25.94 points, or 1.94 percent, to 1366.32. The
Standard & Poor's 500 Index lost 1.30 percent while the Russell
2000 Index of small-capitalization stocks lost 1.29 percent.
Volume amounted to 1.24 billion on the NYSE and 1.73 billion on
the Nasdaq Stock Market. Market breadth was negative, with
Decliners were leading Advancers by 2359 to 892 on the NYSE.
Nasdaq's Decliners were leading Advancers by 2102 to 1090.

Dow lost 109 points to close at 9535. Dow fell below key support
level (9600) and reaching previous trading high channel (9500).
Dow could see some support near this level. If breaks down this
level, it could see further downside. Trading above 9600, Dow
could regain its uptrend. DOW's resistance levels are: 9654, 9778,
9930. DOW's support levels are: 9415, 9296, 9190. Nasdaq lost 31
points to close at 1874. Nasdaq is trading with negative momentum
below 50 and 200-day MA. NAsdaq could see some support near 1850
level. NASDAQ's resistance levels are: 1915, 1961, 1974. NASDAQ's
support levels are: 1867, 1852, 1838. Tuesday's trading could be
cautious and choppy.
