NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Lumenis Ltd. received marketing approval for its Novus TTX 810 Nanometer Infrared Diode Photocoagulator from the Food and Drug Administration (News - Websites) .
In a press release Monday, the company said the device can be used to treat retinal conditions, such as choroidal neovascularization, age-related macular degeneration, retinopathy of prematurity and intraocular tumors.
A company representative wasn't immediately available to discuss marketing plans now that the approval has been granted
