1. MORNING OUTLOOK



U.S. stocks posted solid gains Thursday as investors focused on
analyst upgrades of three blue-chips, fresh data showing another
drop in the nation's jobless claims and a rise in leading economic
indicators. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 102.82
points, or 1.01 percent, to 10,248.08. The Nasdaq Composite
climbed 34.85 points, or 1.81 percent, to 1,956.18 while the
Nasdaq 100 Index climbed 31.31 points, or 2.24 percent, to
1431.31. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index climbed 1.18 percent
while the Russell 2000 Index of small-capitalization stocks
climbed 1.52 percent. Volume amounted to 1.55 billion on the NYSE
and 1.72 billion on the Nasdaq Stock Market. Market breadth was
positive, with Advancers were leading Decliners by 2445 to 829 on
the NYSE. Nasdaq's Advancers were leading Decliners by 2151 to
1019.

Dow gained 102.8 points to close at 10248. Dow is trading with
positive momentum above 50 and 200-Day MA in overbought condition.
Dow is trading at the top-end of the trading channel. Although
further upside is possible in overbought condition, Dow could see
some retracement in the next few sessions. Watch 10300 level for
resistance and 10200 for breakdown levels. DOW's resistance levels
are: 10375, 10508, 10672. DOW's support levels are: 10119, 9991,
9877. Nasdaq gained 35 points to close at 1956. Nasdaq is trading
with negative momentum and but regaining some strength in the last
few sessions. Nasdaq could see more upside in the next few weeks.
NASDAQ's resistance levels are: 1978, 2022, 2050. NASDAQ's support
levels are: 1943, 1922, 1901. Friday's trading could be cautious
and choppy.
