Cybertel Communications Retains Karma Media, Inc. for Worldwide Marketing Campaign to Military; Social Responsibility Towards Our Troops at Core of Marketing Campaign
01/20/2005 10:15
Cybertel Capital Corporation (OTCBB:CYBT) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary Cybertel Communications Corporation has contracted with Karma Media, Inc. (OTCBB:KRMA) to spearhead its worldwide marketing campaign designed to introduce its CyberPhones (Cphones) to U.S. military troops stationed around the world.
"The Cphone is a very compelling product," stated Dominique Einhorn, Karma Media's Chief Executive Officer. "Whether deployed in the Middle East or on a Tsunami Relief mission, our troops tend to operate in highly dangerous areas around the world where they insure our safety and the safety of other people. While risking arms and legs, they should not have to pay an arm and a leg to place a phone call to one of their loved ones at home. VoIP enabled (Voice over the Internet) Cphones are some of the new technologies that can help us rectify a situation that is otherwise fundamentally flawed. The Cphone allows our troops to call home for less than five cents per minute, regardless of where they are stationed in the world! Current telecom alternatives cost U.S. troops exponentially more than the Cphone."
The Cphone attaches to a USB port on a computer and has the look, feel, size and shape of a cellular phone. Cybertel Communications makes the Cphone available to U.S. military troops free of charge with the purchase of an initial 500 minutes of talk time. Additional time can be recharged on Cybertel Communications' web site via credit card. Alternatively, the troops will be able to purchase prepaid Cphone cards in $10, $20, and $50 denominations. A $10 card will enable a soldier, sailor, airman, coastguardsman or marine to talk for 8 hours and 33 minutes on the Cphone.
Karma Media Chairperson Estelle Reyna added: "Over the course of the last few years, I have made thousands of friends among the U.S. military via both media and in-person appearances. Helping my friends dramatically cut phone costs when talking to their loved ones -- now that is a great way to give back to the very people that preserve our safety and freedom."
